The Sad Ending to the Story

In life there are many people who are lost and cannot find their way home. Most of the time they have left the comforts of what they know in order to pursue life on their own. They often find themselves frustrated, empty, and hopeless because of wrong choices as they chased after what they thought would make them happy. I believe God knows how it feels to wait for those who are lost. He patiently waits for those who are far from Him to come home and quit running away. In the story of the lost son, Jesus tells a story of a son who leaves home to live the way he wants, but soon realizes he has made a mistake so he finally returns home. Instead of turning away his rebellious son, the father embraces the wayward son and forgives him. The invitation is the same to those who are running from God - come home!
